Biography
Prior to entering law practice, Ferenc Karoly was a dedicated public servant for 22 years. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was most recently the Acting Chief of the Middletown Police Department. He prides himself on his ability to relate to and effectively communicate with anyone and has dedicated his life to helping others. He is respected in the law enforcement community and has built a reputation of excellence amongst his peers. He is a police procedures expert and is well versed in all areas of Criminal Law. Ferenc served as a police prosecutor for the Town of Middletown for four years where he dealt with all levels of criminal prosecution from violations all the way to capital offenses. His experience and knowledge of police procedures and tactics allows him to quickly and effectively assess your criminal law matter and provide you the most effective and aggressive defense.
He is also experienced in employment and labor negotiations. He has negotiated numerous employment and union contracts and has broad experience in resolving labor disputes. As a former high-level police administrator, Ferenc has extensive experience in labor law issues and navigating complex employment law topics. He is a skillful negotiator and mediator who has drafted and lobbied for several pieces of legislation that were successfully enacted.
He conducts regular training on criminal procedure and police misconduct to law enforcement throughout the New England area. He is a graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy and is abreast of current trends and procedures utilized by law enforcement. Ferenc graduated Summa Cum Laude from Suffolk University Law School and is admitted to the RI and MA Bar. Ferenc is fluent in Spanish and speaks conversational Hungarian.
