Multiple Moving Violations

Colin B. Foote Act - Enhanced Penalties for Multiple Moving Offenses

On June 30, 2010 the Colin B. Foote Act became law in the State of Rhode Island. Today any driver convicted of four or more moving offenses within an eighteen-month period could potentially face a host of enhanced penalties including a $1,000 fine, 60 hours of driver retraining, 60 hours of community service and a loss of license up to two years.

If you or someone you know has been charged with four or more moving violations within an 18-month period and faces those enhanced penalties, it is vital that you seek competent legal advice immediately. The attorneys at the Lynch & Pine have a wealth of courtroom experience to serve on your behalf to face the Traffic Tribunal if you are a repeat offender.

We defend clients with multiple moving violations already on their driving record. Do NOT face the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal alone. It is absolutely necessary to be represented by strong, competent counsel in these Traffic Violations cases.

It is important to contact an attorney as soon as possible to review your case to make sure you preserve any evidence and your rights in an effort to avoid potentially harsh penalties.
